Accessibility
Proof is committed to ensuring equal access to this website, and to our platform, for people with disabilities.
How we're getting there
Work is ongoing. Here’s where we are today:
Digital accessibility standards
Web content produced by Proof is intended to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Level (WCAG) AA success criteria, current version 2.1. We strive to make every page accessible. While we do not currently claim full site-wide conformance, we’re actively working towards it. We have received a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT), which verifies that we meet compliance requirements for our signer experience.
Accessible notary meetings
Both Proof and the notaries providing remote online notarization service through our platform must comply with state-specific notarial law, and video notary sessions must be recorded. Within these legal constraints, we’re constantly working on ways to make online notarization as accessible as possible.
We recognize that getting documents notarized in person can be difficult for people with disabilities. You may have difficulty hearing or speaking to a notary, or it may be challenging to travel to an in-person notary. We are committed to removing these obstacles. That's why we provide a platform that makes it easy for you to get your documents notarized.
We continue to go beyond WCAG requirements and have created features such as in-meeting chat, which allows you to communicate with your notary in-meeting without having to speak.
